the best part of waking up - february 2010

2.28.10:  Finding the perfect plans for Alexa's bachelorette party.
2.27.10:  Sleeping for a solid five hours in the van.  It's so sad that the van has turned into my best sleep of the week.
2.26.10:  Having a sleepover at Kreena's!
2.25.10:  Showing Delta to all the people who have worked so hard to make it happen.
2.24.10:  Sending the Business Review out...finally
2.23.10:  Jerry asking me to dinner to meet his family.  I've loved working with him, and I'm so happy to know that I've made an impact on him as he has on me.  This is the best part about work.
2.22.10:  Helping Alexa pick out her song for her first dance with Tom.
2.21.10:  Booking our trip to India!
2.20.10:  Chatting with John for the first time in a long time.
2.19.10:  Talking with Emily about her flights to India.  I am so so excited!
2.18.10:  Getting the call from Martin about his new job on Bounty!
2.17.10:  Receiving Alexa's present in the mail. I think it might just be the best present I've ever gotten anyone.
2.16.10:  Catching up with Mitchell.  It's been way too long.  He and Tim are two of my longest friends and people I admire so much.  Although we don't talk that often, we always pick up right where we left off.
2.15.10:  Laughing with Alexa while I'm trying to carry way too much out the door.  I don't like when I have to leave her place.
2.14.10:  Reading Alexa's Valentine's Day Card.  Every card she writes me I'm almost in tears or I'm bawling.
2.13.10:  Watching the Blackhawks win.  I love the fact that I enjoy hockey.
2.12.10:  Talking to Dean Krueger about starting my scholarship at Kellogg!
2.11.10:  Being giggly all day.  I'm not sure what was wrong with me.  I think Mister Griffith thought I was drunk or sleep deprived...maybe both.
2.10.10:  Walking in a winter wonderland.  Sometimes ridiculous snow storms are just fun, especially watching how Cincinnatians react during the "blizzards" of 2-3 inches of snow.
2.9.10:  Picking out our India trip with Emily!
2.8.10:  Seeing for the first time in my life an executive at P&G with a great family.
2.7.10:  Finding the perfect present for Alexa.
2.6.10:  Reading the text Alexa sent me about being the best friend she could ask for.
2.5.10:  Receiving the really nice note from Stef for sending cookies to the plant.  Sometimes personally investing a little, makes the world of difference.
2.4.10:  Congratulating Emily on getting into Kellogg!  I was the first person she called at P&G, and I'm just so proud of her.  I knew after our first conversation that she would definitely get in.  I've now successfully helped 4 for 4 people get into Kellogg!
2.3.10:  Trying to get Mister Griffith to sing a lullaby.
2.2.10:  Figuring out that the sunshine room was so hot because C-Ligz turned the heat up to 80 degrees.
2.1.10:  Getting excited about India with my little sister!

i want to thank you for giving me the best day of my life - february 2010

2.28.10:  Better flight times - I changed my flights to India. For just $50 more, I have much better times.  I leave 4 hours later from CVG, and I come home 6 hours earlier.  Love it.
2.27.10:  Standing up for what I believe in - I've gotten past the point of being too afraid of not pleasing everyone.  Anything I say to someone, I'd stand behind in any situation.
2.26.10:  The Oakley Post Office - I'm always running late, but somehow they always let me mail that day.
2.25.10:  HR Block - They actually fixed the system based on my feedback!  Good customer service.
2.24.10:  Business Review - It's done, and surprisingly it's incredibly useful as we plan for 10/11 and 11/12.
2.23.10:  Canceled dinner tomorrow - I would have felt bad canceling, but thankfully I was canceled on instead!
2.22.10:  My work plan - I think I have the best work plan of any junior ABM.  I love leading eCommerce and all the other things as well.
2.21.10:  Vacations - I am so lucky I can afford to travel the way I do.
2.20.10:  Being able to survive on little sleep - I know it's not good for me, and I was doing really good in the beginning of the year, but I'm glad that I can get by if I need to on only a few hours of sleep.  It'll get back to normal once I make it to March 5th.
2.19.10:  Making progress - Finally it's coming together and it feels good.
2.18.10:  Brase - I really don't like the idea of scheduled lunches with Brase, but once we got past the normal "how's everything going?" and "what can I do to help you?" and started talking about acting like kids, it was actually a fun conversation.  I like that he's down to earth and his family is so important to him.
2.17.10:  Finishing my midterm in time - Thankfully I know a little bit about pricing from what I do on a normal basis.
2.16.10:  Global calls - Although I hate waking up for 7 am calls, I love learning from around the world.
2.15.10:  Wendy - She helped me clean off my car from the 6 inches of snow even though she could have just left me!
2.14.10:  Alexa - I think I've written her name down a lot in these, but I am so thankful everyday that I have her as my best friend.
2.13.10:  Mike - Letting me shower and hang out before the game.
2.12.10:  Luck - I'm so glad I looked at my syllabus tonight one last time.  Otherwise, we definitely wouldn't have submitted our assignment for tomorrow.
2.11.10:  Mister Griffith - For keeping things fun and hanging in there.
2.10.10:  Kreena - Thankfully we're using her project idea.  She saved us.
2.9.10:  Making it up Center Hill - I made it up, slowly but surely, whereas some cars definitely couldn't.
2.8.10:  Buffer zone in my fuel tank gage - I was definitely driving on 0 gallons for at least 30 minutes today.  I'm so happy I found a station with diesel before my car died.
2.7.10:  10% off my new iPod - For recycling your old iPod, you automatically get 10% off a new one!
2.6.10:  Surviving the drive safely - Every year there is one day of terrible snow to Chicago.  It took us 7 hours to get to school, which really wasn't so bad considering the first 100 miles our we were on top of an inch of packed down snow, and the flurries were so bad you could barely see 10 feet in front of you.  Thankfully, we all made it home safely.  Last year they had a bad accident where a truck spun across the median and split the van down the middle.
2.5.10:  Eating lunch out - We eat at our desks way too often, and I'm so glad Brad asked me to get out and eat at Motel Mexican.
2.4.10:  Kirsten - Our project NPV is paying out!
2.3.10:  Christine - My saving grace throughout the day is Christine.  I think I've also been pretty moody and not fun lately, so I'm thankful she puts up with me.
2.2.10:  My new office - So until the 22nd, I'll be huddle hiding in my sunshine room to maximize my productiveness.
2.1.10:  Matt's message introducing Grace Olivia - I am so incredibly happy that both Laura and Grace are healthy.  I didn't stop worrying all weekend because I was sure that the only reason we hadn't heard anything was that something was wrong.

2.23.10:  When you invite others to join, suddenly you can't have everything your way.
2.22.10:  India won't let you in the country if your passport expires within six months.
2.21.10:  So many people at P&G have so many incredible talents.
2.20.10:  The best time to take GIM is as one of your DEP classes.
2.19.10:  People don't celebrate enough.  Every good thing should be celebrated.  I mean, why not?
2.18.10:  Sending a little something unexpected can really make a difference.  Also, people in other countries tend to be much more thankful than people here.
2.17.10:  Prescription generics can often pick up as much as 50% share in the first year.

2.3.10:  When you invest in high ratings programming, your overdelivery is likely to be much lower.
2.2.10:  An easy way to eat a mango is to cut off a slice and make cross-hatched slits, then eat the fruit off the skin.
2.1.10:  Babies have a dark glaze over their eyes for the first few weeks.
